Portillo’s — an iconic Chicago hot dog chain — plans to open its first Central Florida location near Walt Disney World.
The Oak Brook, Illinois-based company inked a 7,800-square-foot lease in the $1 billion proposed, mixed-use development O-Town West near Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Boulevard. It will be the third Florida location for the hot dog company, which currently is in Tampa and Brandon.
Portillo’s will serve Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, salads, draft beer and chocolate cake. The restaurant also will have an outdoor patio and double drive-thru. It’s expected to open in late 2020.
