More than 1 million square feet of retail projects have been proposed in Central Florida in recent weeks, as developers continue to see financial gain from new developments catering to Orlando’s growing population.
Proposed projects stretch as far north as Daytona Beach and as far east as West Melbourne, conservatively totaling more than a half-billion dollars. The announcement of these projects in part tied into ICSC’s Florida Conference & Deal Making event at the Orange County Convention Center that wrapped up Aug. 28.
