A Maitland developer plans to tap into a growing retail area in Daytona Beach.
Equinox Development Properties Inc. is under contract to buy roughly 12 acres southeast of Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard for an undisclosed price. Daytona Beach-based Consolidated-Tomoka Land Co. (NYSE American: CTO) is the seller of the property, which abuts its office space in the beachside community.
The estimated $9.2 million, 51,430-square-foot project slated to be built there will feature restaurant, retail and fitness space, according to marketing materials. The project is called Cornerstone Exchange after Cornerstone Boulevard that runs south of the property.
