Unicorp National Developments Inc. — one of the most active developers in Central Florida — aims to build a new project in Sanford.
The 15-acre development will feature roughly 91,000 square feet of retail space including a grocery store, gas station, dentist office, a fast-food restaurant and more, according to Seminole County documents. The development will be located southwest of State Road 46 and Orange Boulevard. Unicorp will seek approval for the project at the Jan. 29 Seminole County development review committee meeting.
Representatives with Unicorp weren’t available for comment. Raleigh, North Carolina-based Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. is the civil engineer, but the rest of the project team isn’t known. Currently, multiple owners control the 15 acres. The shopping center may cost more than $12.7 million to build, based on industry standards.
