Winter Park Village deal will be among 10 biggest in past year

The sale of the upscale Winter Park Village — one of Central Florida’s largest retail centers — will be among the biggest in the past year in Orange County.

New York-based real estate investment trust Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: KIM) is under contract to buy the mixed-use asset, which features restaurants, office space, a movie theater, a Publix and more. It wasn’t known how much Kimco will pay, but New York-based Eastdil Secured LLC was listing the shopping center for up to $150 million. The roughly 30-acre property is on U.S. Highway 17-92 near the intersection of Lee Road.

It’s a massive deal for the Winter Park/Maitland retail submarket as the mixed-use asset makes up roughly one-third of the area’s 1.5 million square feet of retail.
