Executives with a new doughnut shop set to open near downtown Orlando this fall say more future Central Florida locations are a definite possibility.
“We’re always keeping our eyes peeled on where we can go next and even crowd-source this information with our customers and fans through a city request form,” said Danny Pizarro, chief marketing officer with The Salty Donut. “We take the most voted cities and put extra research into those locations and see how and when we can make it there in the future.”
The Salty Donut, a popular Miami-based artisanal doughnut and coffee bar, earlier this month announced plans to enter Central Florida with a new Audubon Park location at 3025 Corrine Drive — a former automotive service building. It will employ about 30 people, giving the company more than 100 workers total.
