Costco, one of the world’s largest retailers, reportedly is eyeing a new location in Clermont, which may drive more retail and other construction nearby, Orlando Business Journal has learned.
Seattle-based Costco Wholesale Corp. (Nasdaq: COST) has a “proposed” location on State Road 50 northeast of Magnolia Pointe Boulevard, according to real estate marketing materials. The potential new store comes as the membership-only retailer has thrived during the pandemic as more people shopped at grocery stores instead of going out to eat due to government restrictions and fear of Covid-19.
