A bevy of new construction projects are in the works from the Milk District to the Hourglass District as developers aim to bring new life to these neighborhoods near downtown Orlando.
New investment in these neighborhoods is part of a larger trend in the city, where billions of dollars in new construction is in the works in its Main Street Districts. These districts — 10 designated economic development zones focused on neighborhood preservation — are economic engines that have generated thousands of new jobs during the past decade.
