Bancorp takes another step toward redevelopment of Orlando Fashion Square

The long-awaited redevelopment of the iconic Orlando Fashion Square mall officially has kicked off with a formal plan filing to the city of Orlando following years of discussions, lawsuits and code violations. 

However, some real estate experts say this step toward construction is a negotiating tactic amid a complicated effort to redevelop the struggling mall, which may act as catalyst for new investment east of downtown.
