A new bouldering gym — rock climbing without ropes or harnesses — soon will rise in downtown Orlando next to a brewery.
Moments Climbing plans to build out a bouldering gym in a 15,000-square-foot space at 400 Pittman St. for $1.3 million, according to a permit filed with the city of Orlando. The bouldering gym will replace Orlando-based clothing company Real Thread Inc., which is growing and moving to another location, said Nick Jones, managing member of Orlando-based Red Bell Partners LLC, which owns the property.
Moments Climbing wasn’t available for comment. The gym will be adjacent Brew Theory, which opened in a 12,000-square-foot space in 2018. Moments Climbing also is near the $1.5 billion mixed-use Creative Village.
