Downtown Orlando’s historic Ferg’s Depot — once the nexus of rail travel in Central Florida — soon will transform into a new concept that showcases the city’s history in a cafe setting.
Business owner Mandy Longo plans to open The Floridabilt on the station’s first floor, and will serve coffee and Florida beers in a cafe and gift shop. The space has been vacant for more than a year after it formerly housed Ferg’s Depot bar and restaurant, which closed in August 2018.
Longo also plans to operate her Mosquito County Tours business, which she is rebranding as Around Orlando tours and events, from the location at 78 W. Church St. The Floridabilt is expected to open in mid-October.
