The final developable parcel at Icon Park — a popular destination on the International Drive tourist corridor — may see new construction.
Up to 20,000 square feet of space can be built at the site, northeast of International Drive and Via Mercado, said Bobby Palta, first vice president with CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBRE). Palta said he’s working on a deal to bring a new attraction to the site. Palta and Alex Gordon, senior associate, recently represented educational entertainment venue Museum of Illusions Orlando in a 7,000-square-foot lease agreement at Icon Park.
Palta declined to say who he’s in talks with for the site, and there’s no construction timeline for the pad. “It’ll fit I-Drive,” he said of the concept.
