A growing coffee chain with Hawaiian roots is set to make its Central Florida debut, with its first location planned for Volusia County.
Centennial, Colorado-based Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has filed plans with the city of Daytona Beach to renovate an existing retail space at 821 E. International Speedway Blvd. into a coffee shop. The $350,000 renovation will transform the 1,309-square-foot space formerly occupied by Drop 8 Surf & Skate, which has closed, according to permits.
