More retail development may crop up around a proposed apartment and hotel near the Orlando International Airport.
Hollywood-based developer JBL Asset Management plans to build up to 12,000 square feet of retail space in Gateway Village southwest of Semoran Boulevard and Frontage Road for two future restaurants, said Bobby Palta, first vice president with CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBRE), who handles retail leasing. Construction also may occur for another high-end restaurant northeast of Sixt Rent A Car at 7855 N. Frontage Road on a vacant parcel.
Palta declined to name who he’s in talks with, but he said construction may start in early 2020.
