Those looking for their Wawa hoagie fix will be happy to know the company is expanding its workforce in Central Florida.
The Wawa, Pa.-based gas and convenience store chain will hire up to 1,000 full- and part-time workers in the state as part of a first-quarter 2019 hiring event, including nearly 500 people in the Central Florida area in that total, a Wawa spokesman told OBJ.
“As we look to fill these positions with people who have a strong passion for serving others, we’re looking for individuals who want to join our team for Florida’s busy tourist season as well those who might be interested in the start of a fulfilling career at Wawa,” Elizabeth Moore, manager of talent acquisition and diversity at Wawa, said in a prepared statement.
