Gregg Hill learned about a key off-market deal in a pretty hot spot a little late.
Maitland-based Equinox Development Properties Inc. already had inked an agreement to buy a roughly 2-acre site on U.S. Highway 17-92 in Winter Park. The property houses a 70-year-old, 22,800-square-foot strip mall and a 7,500-square-foot office building.
At first glance, that may not seem very exciting. But the CEO of Oviedo-based commercial developer Hill Gray Seven LLC wanted in. He negotiated with Equinox President and CEO Ryan Stahl, convincing the latter to hand the contract to buy the property over to Hill Gray Seven. “It was a property I really wanted,” Hill said.
